Those Days those weeks those months

Do you ever have those days, weeks, months or maybe even years where you feel as though you are under attack and anything and everything that could go wrong  does and as soon as you think it couldn’t possible get worse one more thing comes along? When those days come who is the “god” in your house?

We at CBS on the servant’s team have experienced those days recently as we put together the years plan.  I would imagine that some of you have experienced it in your personal life over the summer months as well. I know I have..

1Peter 5:8 says “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

As Christians we know the needed scripture to fend off evil. We know to put on our Spiritual suit of amour. And yet some poisonous arrows loaded with fear, darkness, worry, blame and much more pierce our hearts.

 And when they pierce your heart what do you do? Who becomes your Master?  Who do you serve?

Do you serve the god of anger, fear, weary, darkness, and self-pity? Do you serve him by blaming the God of Hope and promises?

It is our choice whom we serve.

The God of hope cares and loves you and has a plan for you! The god of despair; well he has a long list of misery for you.

So my dear sisters; even though at times we will be knocked down and in despair I know we will not be tempted by Satan.

We will reach out to God to give us strength, resources, and wisdom to handle our problems in a way that will give Him honor.

We will shut the door on Satan and hang out a sign that says

“As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”
